Concrete Weavers is a new and revolutionary construction material called concrete rolls or concrete cloth. Essentially, it is concrete on a roll — combining geotextiles with a dry concrete mix that becomes hard once water is applied.
The most common applications are slope protection, ditch lining, dust suppression, repair of existing concrete, and military use. Our primary markets are civil infrastructure, agriculture, and defense.
Two versions exist: civil (thinner, single layer) and military (two layers with a polyurethane resin and fiberglass core, plus a slip-resistant top coating).
Concrete Weavers is manufactured at our production plant in Belgium using purpose-built machinery designed by our own engineering team. The layers are stitched together using needle-punch technology.
It's not recommended for most road conditions, though the military version may work for private usage or temporary military solutions, with positive test results to date.
Rolls should be stored under cover in very dry conditions to prevent premature hydration, and always kept within the manufacturer's sealed packaging until use.
Yes — it's possible to install Concrete Weavers in wet conditions and even underwater. The concrete will still harden from immersion, in either salt or non-salt water.
It's advisable to install at dusk and hydrate the concrete every 2 hours for the first 8 hours, to prevent water from evaporating before the mix can cure properly.
If installed correctly, Concrete Weavers requires no regular post-installation maintenance.
Concrete Weavers can be demolished using standard construction demolition equipment.
Concrete Weavers can be hydrated using either salt water or non-salt water.
Concrete Weavers can be installed onto vertical, 90-degree surfaces.
Before hydration, use basic hand tools, disposable blades, or powered disc cutters. After hardening, use jigsaws with ceramic blades or tile cutters.
General PPE precautions should be taken, such as face masks, protective clothing, and gloves.
